The District of Coldstream is inviting residents to participate in a new Wood Chipping Initiative designed to help reduce wildfire risk and support FireSmart practices throughout the community.
The service provides residents with a convenient way to dispose of woody debris such as branches, shrubs, and small trees for free. By removing these materials from their properties, homeowners can significantly decrease potential fire hazards and improve the safety of their homes and neighbourhoods.
As wildfire seasons continue to pose a risk across the region, the District is taking proactive steps to support residents in reducing combustible materials around their properties.
