The District of Coldstream is advising motorists that Kalamalka Road will be fully closed on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m near the intersection with Highway 6 at the rail tracks, as shown on the map in red.
The closure is required to accommodate CN Rail maintenance work on the railway tracks where they cross Kalamalka Road.
This will be a full road closure. Traffic will not be permitted through the closure area while CN Rail completes the maintenance work.
All road users, including pedestrians and cyclists, are asked to follow the detour route shown on the map and allow additional time for travel. Plan your route in advance, follow all posted detour and traffic-control signage, and use caution when travelling through the area.
