On Saturday, October 17, 2026 the District of Coldstream will hold a General Local Election where eligible voters will elect:

There will also be three Advance Voting opportunities, as outlined below.

Advance Voting Dates

The 2026 Local General Election will have three advance voting opportunities.

Dates: October 7, 14 and 15, 2026
Location: District of Coldstream Municipal Office, 9901 Kalamalka Road, Coldstream, BC

Voting Hours: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

General Voting Day

General Voting Day is October 17, 2026. There will be two voting locations:

Location 1: Lavington Elementary School, 9715 School Road, Coldstream, BC
Location 2: Coldstream Elementary School, 10104 Kalamalka Road, Coldstream, BC

Voting Hours: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

Why Become an Election Officer?

As an Election Officer, you'll:
  • Play an important role in local democracy.
  • Help residents participate in the election process.
  • Gain valuable experience in customer service, teamwork, and election administration.
  • Receive paid training before Election Day.
  • Earn competitive compensation for your time.

No previous election experience is necessary. Training will be provided to all successful applicants.

Available Positions

The District is recruiting for the following paid positions:
  • Presiding Election Official (PEO) – Oversees the operation of an assigned voting station and supervises Election Officials.
  • Alternate Presiding Election Official (APEO) – Provides support where needed and is prepared to assume the responsibilities of a Presiding Election Official if required.
  • Election Official (EO) – Assists voters, issues ballots, verifies voter information, and supports the voting process.

  • Friendly, reliable, and professional.
  • Comfortable interacting with the public.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow established procedures.
  • Able to remain impartial and politically neutral while performing election duties.
  • Available to attend mandatory training and work on the general voting day.
