Curbside Garbage Collection
The District does not offer a curbside garbage collection program. Alternatively, homeowners can contact one of several contractors currently operating in Coldstream to obtain curbside collection. Check the Yellow Pages directory under "Garbage Collection".
Middleton Transfer Station
Due to operational requirements the District has temporarily repurposed the transfer station site on Middleton Drive. The District is currently using the site for storage of parks landscaping supplies & some road repair materials, as the construction of the new Publics Works building has impacted the available space at the Municipal yard. As a result, the Middleton transfer station is not suitable for leaf drop off or to receive garden waste at this time.
Yard Waste
The District does not currently offer yard waste collection. The Greater Vernon Diversion and Disposal Facility, located at 120 Birnie Road, offers free drop-off of yard waste to District of Coldstream residents.
Regional Solid Waste Management
Alternatively, you may take your waste to one of the Recycling and Disposal Facilities managed by the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO).
