UPDATE – New Road Closure Information
This notice is in addition to the closures already in effect.
Sanitary sewer works associated with the Aberdeen Road Sanitary Sewer Project are currently underway on Selkirk Drive. Due to the depth of the excavation and safety concerns for local traffic and pedestrians, Aberdeen Road will be closed at Selkirk Drive starting October 27, from 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
The closure on Aberdeen Road between Venables Drive and Selkirk Drive also remains in effect. There is no access to Aberdeen Road from Middleton Drive; local traffic only will be permitted between Sarsons Road and Aberdeen Road on Middleton Drive.
Detour Information:
- Passenger vehicles and light trucks needing access to the RDNO office or to Selkirk Drive residences will be detoured via the paved path between Inverness Drive and Selkirk Drive, as indicated on the attached images. Traffic on this pathway will be controlled by on-site traffic control personnel.
- Heavy duty trucks, vehicles towing trailers, buses, and emergency services needing access to the RDNO office or to Selkirk Drive residences will be granted access through the construction zone. Please contact Chapman Industries (contact number below) in advance to coordinate access.
- There will be no thru traffic on Aberdeen Road to or from Highway 6. All thru traffic will need to detour via Middleton Drive or Kalamalka Road.
- The intersection of Selkirk Drive and Aberdeen Road will be reopened daily, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 am.

This traffic advisory (Aberdeen Road at Selkirk Drive) is in effect until 6:00 pm on Thursday October 30, 2025.
