The District of Coldstream has officially cancelled the State of Local Emergency declared on September 5, 2025 and deactivated its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) as of 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
The decision comes following a comprehensive assessment of the current situation, which has shown that the immediate threat to public safety and critical infrastructure has subsided. Conditions have stabilized, and the coordinated emergency response is no longer required at an elevated level.
While the formal emergency has ended, the District continues to support recovery efforts and encourages residents to remain vigilant and follow any ongoing public safety guidance from local authorities or provincial partners.
