If you are on EVACUATION ORDER you can register yourself for Emergency Support Services online at https://ess.gov.bc.ca or you can call Red Cross at 1-888-800-6493 for support. If you do not have family or friends to stay with and your home insurance does not cover your living expenses during evacuations, you may be eligible for support from the Provincial Government.
Crews continue to remain on site responding to the wildfire alongside local Fire Department and aerial resources as needed. The fire is still displaying Rank 1 behaviour, meaning a smouldering ground fire with a slow rate of spread. Aircraft may be relaying on nearby lakes for water supply. As a reminder, boaters should slow down and vacate areas where water skimming aircraft are operating, preferably moving close to the shore.
