Highlights from the December 8, 2025 Council Meeting
Pointe Sage Drive Park
Council received a delegation and on behalf of Pointe Sage Drive Park requesting that Council retain the lot known as Point Save Drive Park and consider improving the parks space for users. Council, when considering whether to include the park in a bylaw to remove park dedication, decided to retain the property; requesting that Administration work with the neighbourhood to consider how and what improvements could be made.
Alternative Approval Process Timeline and Communication Plan
With respect to the property located at 9102 Mackie Drive, Council directed Administration to prepare a park closure bylaw for consideration at the Council meeting scheduled for January 12, 2026. Park closures require the assent of the electors and any proceeds from the sale of parks land must be used toward the acquisition of alternative park land.
