News Release

The District of Coldstream is inviting residents to help shape the future of their community by reviewing and providing feedback on the first draft of the updated Official Community Plan (OCP).

Over the past year, the District has been working closely with the community to gather input, ideas, and aspirations to guide the development of this important long-range planning document. The updated OCP will serve as a roadmap for how Coldstream will grow and develop over the next 25 years, addressing key areas such as housing, infrastructure, transportation, environmental protection, community development, and more.

This OCP reflects the input we’ve received from residents over the past year,” said Mayor Hoyte. “Now we’re asking the community to take a look at the draft and let us know—did we get it right? Your feedback is vital to ensure the plan reflects Coldstream’s values and future vision.”

As part of the public engagement process, the District is hosting in-person and online engagement opportunities this summer. Community members are invited to participate in the following activities to learn more about the plan, ask questions and share their feedback:

Pop-up at the Summer Night Market

Thursday, August 7 from 5:50 to 8:30 PM at Coldstream Station

Open House

Wednesday, August 20 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Coldstream Community Hall

For those unable to attend in person, the draft OCP and a short online survey will also be available on the project website starting August 7.
