Council has combined and expanded the Spring and Fall burn periods. Landowners with parcels of 2 hectares (4.94 acres) or larger may apply for a permit to burn between:
November 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024
- Each property may only receive one burning permit during this period.
- Properties may only burn prunings and non-compostable garden refuse (see list of prohibited materials in 'Conditions of Permit').
- A person engaged in or responsible for permitted burning must ensure the burning is conducted in compliance with the burning regulations, which are outlined in the 'Conditions of Permit'.
