Additional opportunities to hold meetings in Lavington will be at Council’s discretion by resolution.  These amendments are expected to be brought forward in early 2024 for Council’s consideration and a notice of the meeting in which these amendments will be considered will be published in accordance with Community Charter.

Advisory Planning Commission

Council considered the future of the Advisory Planning Commission in light of the recent changes in provincial legislation supporting the Province’s “Homes for People Plan”.  Council passed a motion to dissolve the Advisory Planning Commission with the intention of seeking public input on planning matters through open houses, public hearings and other forms of community engagement during the Official Community Plan review process throughout 2024 and 2025.  Council thanks current members and recent applicants for their service and interest in the community and looks forward to seeing and hearing from them at future public input opportunities.
