The District of Coldstream is pleased to announce that the Kalavista Tennis Courts are now open to the public following the completion of resurfacing upgrades.

The courts were closed beginning July 6 to allow Action Paving and Tomko Sports Systems to complete a comprehensive resurfacing project designed to improve the playing surface and extend the life of the courts.

The project was completed in two phases. The first phase included removal of the existing surface, repairs and regrading of the existing subbase, installation of a new gravel base and a new asphalt surface. The newly paved surface was then allowed to cure for approximately three weeks.

The second phase included application of a new acrylic playing surface, line painting and installation of the tennis nets.

We’re excited to have the Kalavista Tennis Courts back open for residents and visitors to enjoy,” said Mayor Hoyte. “These upgrades will provide a significantly improved playing surface and help ensure the courts remain a great community recreation space for years to come.

The District thanks the community for its patience and understanding during the closure and appreciates the work of Action Paving and Tomko Sports Systems in completing the upgrades.

Residents are invited to get out on the courts and enjoy the newly resurfaced facility!
