Public Transit

BC Transit offers bus routes to most regions of Greater Vernon, including Coldstream, Enderby, Armstrong, Spallumcheen, and Lumby, as well as routes connecting to Lake Country and UBCO.

Fee, Schedule, and Route Information

The transit service provides conventional service and custom handyDART service within the City of Vernon and District of Coldstream, and a regional system servicing the North Okanagan Regional District, including Spallumcheen, Armstrong, Enderby, Whitevale and Lumby.

Funding for the service is cost shared among the City of Vernon, District of Coldstream and the Regional District of North Okanagan. The District of Coldstream participates in a regional transit working group which liaises with BC Transit to address transit related issues in the community and region.

Decisions on fares, routes and service levels are made by the councils and regional board based on public feedback and information provided by BC Transit. Buses are operated by Transdev Canada.
