Due to the demolition of, and in progress construction of the public works buildings, much of the old transfer station site on Middleton Drive is temporarily converted into a public works yard. As a result, the space is not available to provide the yard waste depot to residents this year.
The District of Coldstream understands this is a valued service to the community and put in every effort to accommodate both uses. Ultimately, this was not achievable.
The Greater Vernon Diversion and Disposal Facility, located at 120 Birnie Road, offers free drop-off of yard waste to District of Coldstream residents.
